In 2001, Zhongwei invested 0.12bln yuan on technical transformation
project by adopting advanced technology at home and abroad and

of polyester POY and FDY from Toray Co., Ltd in Japan. The company
started production in May 2002 and completed a total investment
at the end of the same year. With a total asset of 0.28bln yuan,
the company has advanced POY spinning line with 32-position,
FDY spinning line with 72-position and corresponding draft and
DTY machine and improved public works facilities. It mainly
manufactures ＾Fengming￣ polyester POY, FDY and DTY with a total
capacity of 40kt/yr and the production of FDY also becomes a
new aspect for economic growth. Through the years, the company
successfully developed nanometer anti-ultraviolet ray functional
fiber and breathable functional fiber, which have passed provincial
technological achievement appraisal. The company was regarded
as high technology enterprise in the year of 2005 and passed
ISO9001:2000 Quality System Recognition in 2002 and ISO14001
Environmental Management System Recognition in 2008.
The company produced 58.438kt of chemical filaments in 2007,
realized 412mln yuan of sales revenue and 6.64mln yuan of
profits with over 10 thousand yuan turned in to state taxes.
The products especially polyester FDY are marketable in Zhejiang

Industry Park is specializing in the production of filament
yarns. The company comprises an area of 110 mu and has a total
assets of 684 million yuan, with about 800 employees. Zhongchi
Industry Park is the first enterprise-run industrial park in
the city, which is approved by Tongxiang Municipal Government.
It covers an area of 500 mu.
Zhongxin Chemical Fiber is equipped with a polyester melt spinning
line with a total investment of 450 million yuan and an annual
production of 200kt (of which 120kt/yr of polyester melt for
direct spinning and 80kt/yr of melt granulating for polyester
chip production). The production line takes automatic polyester
spinning production facility introduced from US DuPont and Japanese
TMT and adopts the process of polyester melt directing spinning,
spinning-drawing one-step process and grafting method. The line
which was put into production in Mar 2004 takes imported PTA
and MEG as raw materials and mainly manufactures fiber-grade
polyester chip, polyester POY and polyester FDY. Zhongxin Chemical
Fiber ranks top among the surrounding chemical fiber enterprises
on the production scale, technology level and industrial level.
Its products are exported to Middle East, South America and
other countries. The company has developed some high-tech products
recent years, and is rated as high-tech enterprise in Zhejiang
Province. The company passed ISO9000 Quality System Recognition
in 2004 and ISO14001 Environment Management System Authentication
in 2008.
The sales revenue reached 1.868 billion yuan in 2007 and the
company turned in 25.20 million yuan of tax, with a profit of
74.07 million yuan. It exported 9091 tonnes of products in 2007,
with a foreign exchange earning of $12.14 million (about 93.07
